A new Windows Phone app is aimed at helping users create and maintain a healthy lifestyle rather than simply track distance covered or steps taken when training.
Essentially a mobile version of the desktop app, Bing Health and Fitness for the Windows Phone is aimed at helping users stay healthy between workouts.
As such, as well as tracking physical exertion, the app can help users design and stick with diets and count calories. It even offers access to nutritional information for over 300,000 foods.
It also attempts to plug into the health and fitness zeitgeist by offering news and trending content on the subject. Then there's the symptoms checklist to make sure users aren't overdoing it and coming down with illness.
Although the app is now available to download -- providing you have a Windows Phone 8 handset -- it is still in the beta stage so don't expect perfectly polished experience. Nevertheless, what it does offer is already pretty comprehensive.
