Nothing says the holidays like spending time with family and friends
so it was a treat for the entire "Good Morning America" gang to visit Robin Roberts to
decorate for the Christmas season.
George, Sam, Josh and Lara paid a visit
to Robin's New York City apartment on Thursday to spread a little
holiday cheer and catch up with Robin as she continues to recover from
her bone marrow transplant.

The gang hung stockings handmade by George's daughters, sang their favorite Christmas carols and shared their favorite Christmas traditions from their own families.
"I feel like I just saw you yesterday," Robin said. "Even though it's been months and months, it feels like yesterday."
Robin also had ready for her guests a favorite tradition from her own family, the punch her beloved mother, Lucimarian Roberts, would make at Christmas.

Lucimarian's Holiday Frappe
"Whenever I saw Momma setting out the punch bowl for this festive drink, I always knew it was time for a Christmas party," Robin has said. "The ingredients are simple, but it's something that takes me back to the holidays. No need for ice to water down this party drink—the sherbet does double duty!"
Ingredients
- 1 half-gallon lime sherbet
- 2 one-liter bottles of ginger ale
- 1 pint of strawberries, washed and sliced
Cooking Directions
Make sure lime sherbet is frozen hard. Do not soften it.
Scoop lime sherbet into a large punch bowl. Add one liter of ginger ale, and garnish with sliced strawberries. Replenish with more ginger ale, as needed. (Serves at least 8 people.)
