Alec Baldwin Unleashes His Wrath Over Twitter, Again, to Defend Fiancée Hilaria Thomas

Alec Baldwin has taken to his Twitter once again to rant against those who have slighted him - although this time it's not an airline, it's members of the media.

"30 Rock" star Baldwin, 54, who should be on cloud nine after becoming engaged this past weekend to his girlfriend, yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, instead spent Monday ranting against staff members of The New York Daily News.

Photographer Enid Alvarez and crime reporter Simone Weichselbaum reportedly showed up at Thomas' yoga class on Monday to photograph the 28-year-old, who was sporting a massive diamond engagement ring. Baldwin was livid that Alvarez and Weichselbaum disrupted the class to get their story and photos.

"Shame on the no- talent trash from the Daily News for invading the privacy of 75 people in a yoga class to take a picture of someone," Baldwin tweeted Monday, adding, "Rest in Peace, the New York Daily News, which was once a good newspaper. Now run by the same trash that runs the New York Post."

The Daily News, which is the fourth most widely-circulated daily newspaper in the United States, ran an article on the couple's engagement on Monday that featured pictures of Thomas instructing her class at the Yoga Vida yoga studio, of which she is the co-owner.

Baldwin did not stop with a jab at the newspaper and its staff, and continued his Twitter rant throughout the day Monday.

"In NYC, it's common knowledge that the News is trying to give the Post a run for its $ in the slime dept. Clearly, they're succeeding," he tweeted.

Baldwin then went on a tirade against media mogul Rupert Murdoch and his NewsCorp empire, while comparing Alvarez to "Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi.

"Here's the nutty b**** who crashed the yoga class today with Snooki Alvarez…," he tweeted.

Baldwin has been known to publicly fly of the handle in the past. In 2007 a phone message to his daughter Ireland, in which he called her a "rude, thoughtless little pig," leaked online. And late last year he was booted off of a flight for not turning off his phone while playing the popular Scrabble-like game Words with Friends. In the latter instance he also took to Twitter to vent his rage.

"Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt," Baldwin tweeted.

The actor has also previously used the social media site to defend Thomas.

According to the actor, one Twitter user had "entered the twitter-verse ONLY to harass my girlfriend." He added that the person's tweets were "borderline threatening," and encouraged his followers to decide for themselves.

Baldwin's followers, which tally close to 800,000 fans, promptly reacted to his plea and eventually fired back so many tweets that @scarfacemadam closed down their account.
