Dancing With the Stars" pro Louis van Amstel blogs on season 15 of "DWTS." The three-time world dance champion and creator of LaBlast fitness-based dance DVD workouts returns for his eighth season and takes you behind the scenes on the hit ABC show. You can find him on Twitter @LouisvanAmstel."
Before I start talking about this week's show, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all their support and comments on Facebook, Twitter, etc, week after week. Even though it was disappointing and sad to leave the competition last week, Sabrina Bryan and I had the best time and an amazing journey - especially leaving on such a high note with three 10s from the judges, and probably one of the most memorable Rumbas ever. Sabrina opened up a side of herself which was so inspirational it brought me to tears. What a special lady she is. I love her dearly. Past champions of "DWTS" even left the competition before we did, like Helio Castroneves who won Sabrina's season, so for us to make it to week 6, we are very thankful. We couldn't have done it without your votes week after week. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I'd be lying if I said that it was easy to watch Monday night's show and not be part of it, dancing with Sabrina, but I did absolutely enjoy dancing with pro Anna Trebunskaya in the opening number. Congratulations to Henry for choreographing. Great job!
All the couples did a great job with the Fusion dances and I really enjoyed watching the Marathon Swing. (The seven remaining celebrity dancers had to fuse two different styles of dance to the same piece of music, then followed that up with a swing dance marathon where the last couple dancing earned an extra 10 points on top of their night's score.) Holy crap, that was fast. I know it's evil, but I kind of laughed at everybody having to work so hard to keep up with the music. It was very entertaining to say the least. I agree with the judges that Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani proved to be the fittest and danced from beginning to end.

I truly hope Kelly Monaco is fine because she totally face-planted during rehearsals falling from an over head lift. (Be careful Val…I know during last week's Country Week group rehearsal I told you guys to "get a room," but I didn't mean a hospital room!)
One of the things I so appreciated on Monday night's show was the support for ABC's "Day of Giving" to help the Red Cross raise millions for those on the East Coast who were hit heavily by Hurricane Sandy. I thought Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy's video package was priceless and heartwarming, showing their support for Sandy victims. I saw you too Tony!! What you guys did was amazing.
Unrelated to Monday night's show, camaraderie among the cast is so real. Last Friday night, all of us played the game Catchphrase on my rooftop until 3 am, and oh did we have fun! It was so nice to just hang out and be silly. Like I said so many times before, "Dancing With the Stars" is a competition, it doesn't mean we can't be friends off the dance floor and support each other.
What's up for next week? Trio dances, where each couple adds another pro into the number. Last season "DWTS" introduced the trio dances and it was so successful that producers decided to bring it back. I'm not at liberty to share which pro will be added to each couple, but it's going to be very exciting. I personally can't wait!
Don't forget: just like voting for your favorite "DWTS" couple, it's even more important for all of us to go to the polls and vote for the person you think will make this country a happier one. Follow your heart and intuition and the right person will come out on top.
