Ever since Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves
and Wendie Malick teamed up on “Hot in Cleveland,” TV Land has never been
hotter -- until now.
ABC News’ Cameron Mathison was asked to play the role of Bill, boyfriend
to Leeves’ character, Joy, and jumped at the chance. Back in November, Mathison
took “GMA” viewers behind the scenes of the taping, (click here to watch the video
of how he prepared for the role), and revealed his character’s annoying habit –
“word shortening.”
“But he’s 6-foot-2 and gorgeous at the same time so we can overlook the word shortening,” Leeves joked at the time.
Mathison finally makes his cameo on Wednesday night’s
episode of “Hot in Cleveland.”
In this exclusive preview clip, Valerie Bertinelli’s character, Melanie, is
thrilled when Joy hits it off with Bill, Mathison’s character, who is best
friends with Alec, played by Jay Harrington. But that annoying habit of “word shortening” causes
a lot of “little annoyances” to reach a fever pitch at the women’s monthly game
night. Watch the clip below.
"Hot in Cleveland" airs Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT.
