J.J. Abrams, who is reportedly developing a movie about Lance Armstrong, may want to consider Bradley Cooper for the lead role.

In an interview with the BBC, the Oscar-nominated actor expressed interest in playing the disgraced cyclist on the big screen.

"I remember Matt Damon was going to do [Armstrong's] autobiography at one point years ago," Cooper said. "I remember thinking, that would be a great character, I'd love to play that character. I would love to do something, I think he's pretty fascinating."

Cooper said he has not been approached about the role.

Armstrong admitted to Oprah Winfrey last week that he won his Tour de France titles while using performance-enhancing drugs. The titles were stripped from him last fall.
