rude, thoughtless little pig?" Ireland Baldwin says it's totally no big deal. That 2007 voicemail in which her father called her a "
"The only problem with that voice mail was that people made it out to be a way bigger deal than it was," Alec Baldwin's 16-year-old daughter told the latest issue of Page Six Magazine. "He's said stuff like that before just because he's frustrated. For me it was like, 'OK, whatever.' I called him back I was like, 'Sorry Dad, I didn't have my phone.' That was it."
In fact, they joke about it now.
"We almost did something funny on YouTube, of me calling him and yelling at him," she said. "We were just talking about it the other week."
The younger Baldwin has come into her own over the past year, amassing more than 14,000 Twitter followers, giving away her father at his wedding to 28-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas and becoming a favorite of New York paparazzi, in part because she's the spitting image of her mother, Kim Basinger.
Like her parents, she wants to pursue a career in acting. And if she gets as famous as her dad, she could see herself lashing out once in a while, too.
"My dad has been going through it for so long, I can see how he gets frustrated," she said. "For me, it's all so new and fresh. If acting or modeling takes off, and I make a name for myself, I can see how I might get pretty frustrated."
She's trying to avoid the Hollywood lifestyle by attending school, playing sports, and keeping her friends close. But she admits that she has indulged in alcohol. "I love going to parties, and I love dancing," she said. "Sure, I've had a drink before, but I've never done drugs."
Ireland Baldwin also said she's planning on saving sex for marriage: "I just believe that sex is important and worth waiting for."
Does she get a lot of advice from her new step-mom?
"She's like a big sister to me, but I feel like I haven't spent enough time with her yet," she said. "We have a lot more to learn about each other and we have a lot more experiences to have together. We joke around and I call her 'Mom.' But I respect her, it's not like I'm 'Parent Trap'-ping her, setting up booby traps in her room."Also Read
