Middleton, 30, took the stage at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards ceremony, wearing a dark green gown reportedly by Alexander McQueen, the same fashion line responsible for her ivory and lace wedding gown.
The Duchess of Cambridge appeared solo, without husband Prince William, who was forced to make his own solo outing at a movie premiere last week while Middleton was still recovering from the acute morning sickness that left her in the King Edward VII Hospital in London for a four-day stay.
It was Middleton's hospitalization that forced the palace to announce the Duchess was pregnant with the couple's first child, the would-be heir to the royal throne. Middleton is in the first 12 weeks of her pregnancy, according to Palace officials.
On Sunday, Middleton appeared healthy and strong as she handed out the lifetime achievement award to Sebastian Coe, a former Olympian and the newly elected chairman of the British Olympic Association, and the sports personality of the year award to British Olympic cyclist Bradley Wiggins, according to the Associated Press.
The last time Middleton was seen in public was a brief appearance alongside Prince William as she left the hospital on Thursday, Dec. 3. Palace officials announced at the time that the Duchess would continue to rest at home in lieu of making her previously scheduled public appearances. Also Read
