Lovers' Quarrel Over Lubricant Lands 60-Year-Old in Jail
A Florida woman who asked her boyfriend to get olive oil for them to use during sex was charged with hitting him on the head with the oil bottle in a dispute about a woman.
The woman in question was named "Pam," but it may have been a case of mistaken identity: Barbara Hall, 60, of Port St. Lucie, was being intimate with her 45-year-old boyfriend when she asked him to get the olive oil for use as a lubricant. When the man returned with the bottle, Hall asked him if he had also brought the Pam, referring to the low-fat, non-stick cooking spray sold in groceries and supermarkets across the country.
But the woman's boyfriend, who was not named, misunderstood her question. He thought she was asking him about a woman named "Pam."
Turns out, he knew Pam, apparently very well.
"[He] admitted to having sex with Pam recently on her boat when he and Barbara were 'broke up,' which started an argument between them," the responding Port St. Lucie officer wrote, according to the police report posted by TC Palm.
Hall allegedly then hit her boyfriend with her drink, then started to strike him. He restrained her, but she threw the bottle of olive oil and a flashlight at him, the report said.
The officer who responded to the May 30 incident said in the report that the woman's boyfriend had red marks on his arms and chest and a small laceration on the side of his face.
Even though the man did not want to pursue criminal charges, Hall was arrested and charged with one count of simple battery, the report said.
Hall's boyfriend declined further help from the police and walked home, the report also said.
