Newly Engaged Couple Has Hilarious Photobombed Proposal Picture

Lots of couples commemorate their marriage proposal with fancy photos or videos to cherish the special moment.

However, when Chris Jimenez popped the question to his girlfriend of three years, Cristina Silva, after they completed the Never Land Family Fun Run 5K on Jan. 19 at Disneyland, he never expected his proposal to be overshadowed by an accidental photobomber in the background.

The woman, who appears to be a fellow run participant, was totally caught off guard in the background of the newly engaged couple's photo, which resulted in her hilarious facial expression being caught on camera.

"We both just loved her reaction," Silva told ABCNews.com

Jimenez and Silva had no idea the photo, which has now gone wildly viral, would garner so much attention.

"We saw it and he [Chris] posted it on his Facebook and, of course, all his friends started liking it," Silva said. "Little by little, we started seeing it other places. I never thought it would get this big. I was just focused on me that day. We really didn't think it would get this big. But it is a cute picture. We love it."

Silva said she was too caught up in the moment to even notice the woman in the background at the time.

"I was excited, shaking in tears, just crying. Right at the finish line, Chris got down one knee and that's when he popped the question. He had an inhaler with him because he has asthma, and he had it in his inhaler. He took out the inhaler and had the ring in his hand," said Silva.

As of now, the couple has no concrete wedding plans, but has been joking that they'd like to use the photobombed picture on their "Save the Dates" notice to their guests.
