Olympics Opening Ceremony Soundtrack Revealed

Most Olympics opening ceremonies are kept secret-but it apparently wasn't enough to share visions of a neo-idyllic countryside, now the entire playlist to Danny Boyle's "Isles of Wonder"ceremony, allegedly leaked, is available for public scrutiny.

If you thought sheep in east London's Olympic stadium was weird, imagine the Queen bopping to the Sex Pistols.

The 86-song playlist, first published by the Telegraph, boasts several bold choices, namely the punk classic "God Save the Queen," and "London Calling" by the Clash. Some wonderfully random Brit-pop-culture tracks are in the mix, including "I Predict a Riot" by the Kaiser Chiefs, the Sugababe's "Push the Button," Dizee Rascal's " Bonkers," and "Paper Planes" by MIA.

Forget national monuments, the soundtrack to the $42 million extravaganza is a true testament to British culture across the ages, from Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks and The Eton Boating Song, to 1960s old-school and 1990s cool Britannia.

Notably missing, however, is everything and everyone from the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert. No Tom Jones charm, Robbie Williams cheek, or Kylie Minogue hot-pants.

The usual suspects are in the line-up, including The Who with "My Generation," several Beatles golden oldies like "She Loves You," Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Heroes" by David Bowie, and the Rolling Stones' " Satisfaction."

The anticipated one billion spectators can also look forward to '80s and '90s favorites such as "Relax" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Simon May's "EastEnders Theme."

A one-million-watt sound system will blast the lyrical entertainment, using 500 speakers.
