Plus-Sizer's Sizzling Swimwear Shoot

Plus -size model Robyn Lawley proves that you don't have to be stick thin to rock a bikini on the beach.

The size-12 beauty, who recently scored a contract as Ralph Lauren's first plus-size model, hit the Cook Islands' Aitutaki Lagoon for an ultra-sexy photo shoot for Cosmopolitan Australia's November issue. Lawley, 23, showed off her curves in printed bikinis and one-pieces for the spread.

The Australian model has also graced the cover of major fashion magazines such as French Elle and Vogue Italia and is changing the way people see models.

"Robyn is absolutely paving the way for fuller-figured women to land these larger campaigns," People magazine senior writer Jen Garcia told ABC News in September.

"She's happy in her own skin, and that's something a lot of girls can look up to. And I think she's setting a great example for the fashion industry, as a whole," Garcia added.

Lawley has been modeling since she was 16, but struggled to play by the fashion industry's ultra-thin rule.

"I got a huge amount of pressure to diet," the 6-foot-2 model told " Good Morning America" last month. "And my body, it was such a battle for me to do that because I'm such a big bone, and I'm tall and I'm broad. I really struggled to maintain that size."

Lawley landed her first plus-size contract with Wilhelmina Modeling Agency at age 19 and is confident that more will follow her.

"I hope so. I hope, I'm sure we will see," she said. "You know there's so many plus-size models in New York doing so well in the moment, and it's only going to get better."
