Robin's Journey: Make Your Mess Your Message

Those of you who have watched "GMA" a time or two know that I’m fond of this saying, “Make your mess  your message.”  It’s something my momma has instilled in me since I was young – there is always a bigger picture.  When I was first diagnosed with MDS I wasn’t initially sure what that message would be. I am blessed to have my big sister Sally-Ann as a bone marrow donor, but not everyone is so fortunate. I have learned so much about bone marrow and the donation process. I am uplifted every time one of you tells me that you have signed up to be a donor. That is the message I have found in this mess.

This blog will be a place for me to convey messages to all of you. It will also be a place I can visit to read any messages you would like to leave for me– your comments, words of wisdom and prayers are what will get me through my time away from "GMA." I cannot tell you how much your constant support has meant to me.

I am going on a journey that will take me away from your daily lives but I will update you on my progress  when possible on this blog. I don’t want anyone to worry if you don’t hear from me regularly. During the months ahead, I will be focusing on my health and recovering after my bone marrow transplant. On this page, you will hear from those helping me on this journey as well as directly from me when possible.

So thank you all for the love you’ve shown me. Keep those prayers and warm thoughts coming. I will feel them each and every day and send them right back to you.

Blessings,

Robin
