Stars dined on California-inspired cuisine at Sunday night's Golden Globe awards at the Beverly Hilton.

Executive chef Suki Sugiura, his ninth time creating the food for the awards, started the dinner with a grilled artichoke with fennel tomato lemon mousse and goat cheese.

The main course was a combination of flat iron steak, smoked lightly and grilled, along with an orange-marinated sea bass topped with caramelized fennel and mint.

"A lot of people ask, 'Are the movie stars eating?' I said, 'Pretty much I look to the main course,'" said Sugiura in the video, "They clean up the plate well."

Executive pastry chef Thomas Henzi created a cappuccino mousse dome, orange sanguine and a salted caramel tart with chocolate ganache.

The dish was topped with a blood orange cremeux and orange caviar. Cremeux is a creamy dessert that is similar to a pudding.

"I don't like to use too much sugar so it's not too sweet," said Henzi. For last year's awards, celebs dined on gold-flecked desserts.

Guests washed the meal down with over 6,500 flutes of Moet's 2004 grand vintage Champagne.
