Taylor Swift Gives Sneak Peek of New Single Off 'Red'

is hoping the fourth time continues to be the charm.

The six-time Grammy winner, also nominated this month for an American Music Award, gave a sneak peak of the fourth single off her new album, "Red," this morning on " Good Morning America."

"I wrote this song about when you first fall in love with someone, the possibilities, sort of thinking about this is the ways that it could go," Swift, 22, said of the single "State of Grace," which goes on sale on iTunes at midnight.

Swift's new album, "Red," her fourth studio album, will debut Oct. 22. Her three previous singles from "Red," which debuted exclusively on "GMA," have gone on to be No. 1 singles.

"It's a really big sound and it just sounds like the feeling of falling in love in an epic way," Swift said of "State of Grace."

Swift's previous album, 2010's "Speak Now," won her two Grammys and sold more than 1 million copies in its first week.

The country-pop crossover artist has made a career out of turning her relationships into smash hit singles, including "Love Story," "Sparks Fly" and "You Belong With Me."

She told ABC News' Cynthia McFadden that her first single off "Red," the ballad "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," came to be when a friend of her ex's - whom she declined to name - walked in the studio where she was working with her writers.

Swift, who has dated John Mayer and Joe Jonas in the past, is now reportedly dating Conor Kennedy, the 18-year-old son of Robert Kennedy Jr. and the late Mary Kennedy, to whom she was reportedly introduced by his grandmother, 83-year-old Kennedy matriarch Ethel.
