GMA’s Totally Awesome 80s Week: Steve Martin, Arnold Schwarzenegger Flashback

We’re kicking off our Totally Awesome 80's Week on “Good Morning America.” All this week we’re going back in time to celebrate the 1980s with everything from your favorite styles to your favorite songs, stars and more from the decade.

In honor of 80's week, we dug up clips from our archive. On this day in “GMA” history, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Joe Namath stopped by the show. Namath was here on Oct. 3, 1983 and talked to then-anchor David Hartman about his run on Broadway and the possible renaming of the New York Jets.  On Oct. 3, 1985, Schwarzenegger was here promoting his movie “Commando.” Watch the clip below.

Today, comedic dream team Steve Martin, Jack Black, and Owen Wilson, who play competitive birdwatchers in their new movie, “The Big Year,” are here. Back in the 80s, Martin was on “GMA,” talking about his movie, “Roxanne,” where he wore a prosthetic nose. Watch the vintage clip below.

We also have a clip of Dana Delany, star of the ABC series, “Body of Proof,” from 1989 when she was on “GMA”  to promote “China Beach,” the show that first put Delany on the map for her role as Colleen McMurphy.
