Health Tip: Troubled by a Toothache?

(HealthDay News) -- A toothache can be a real pain, but you can take steps to care for tooth discomfort.

The American Dental Association offers these suggestions:

  • Rinse your mouth with warm water.
  • Very gently clean between teeth with floss.
  • Don't apply any pain reliever to the gum surrounding the painful tooth, as this can damage nearby gum tissue.
  • Call your dentist if the pain doesn't get better.

WOW ! A wealth of information there ! If you do not have the money for a dentist visit really soon then I guess you just hurt.I guess you can always go to a ER at a local hospital since most can not turn you down if you do not have the money.

Here is a good stop-gap measure for some cases of toothache. Take a gram of vitamin C every 2 hours for a couple of days. This usually resolves tooth discomfort issues for me in a day. Then check with dentist - you may have an infection hiding in there.
