Paula Deen Caught Eating a Cheeseburger

Last week, TV chef Paula Deen announced that she's been suffering from type 2 diabetes for the past three years.  She acknowledged that a person has "to make changes in your life" but apparently, Deen hasn't apparently changed all that much.  TMZ posted a photo of Deen woolfing down a cheeseburger on Monday while on a 7-day Caribbean cruise.  The 65-year-old chef was hosting her annual Party at Sea vacation for 400 fans.  TMZ says Deen also had fries on her plate.

      hey ......she has type 2 diabetes, which was brought on by her unhealthy diet and obesity. With this disease, If she looses weight, she may not have type 2 anymore. She needs to diet, and shoving your face with a giant burger and french fries isnt going to make things better. Do some research.

      The only things that are dangerous on a cheeseburger is the bun which
      probably contains 10 grams of sugar or more. And if she used catsup made
      with high Fructrose corn syrup , thats worse than sugar ...

    Uh folks, eating a cheeseburger isn't harmful. Nor is eating fries. EATING LOADS OF THEM IS. If you are eating in moderation, you can eat almost any normal food sans desserts. An exception would be pastas without meat. Straight carbs = high blood sugars. Educate yourself before you speak. Yes, she screwed up by preaching what she did, but eating a cheeseburger is not newsworthy. It would be if she suddenly turned vegan.

    So what !!! I'm a diabetic and I can eat a Cheese burger or anything else. As long as I don't over due it.. Any diabetic can with-in reason. The media is so stupid.

    CAUGHT?!? Like is it a crime? She can eat what she wants,. SHe can be a big as she likes or as small. She teaches people how to make food that tastes good, but we all know is unhealthy, so what? No one is forcing us to prepare it. She is a happy woman who has diabetes. Over 30% of people "of a certain age" have it as well. Americans know what food are healthy and what weights are healthy, and we make choices with that knowledge that either benefit us or could harm us. We are in charge of ourselves, just like she is. No more passing the blame.

    My daughter is type 1 diabetic for years....I get this same type of scoffing when she attends a party and people see her eating a pice of cake. Let me make this clear to all....

    EVERY FOOD, whether candy, cake or an apple, breaks down to glucose (sugar) in the system. As long as enough insulin is given to cover the carbs eaten, no big deal. I mean, do people expect that diabetics are to never eat regular foods????

    Educate yourself about this horrible disease before you pass judgement on others...just sayin
