Hazel the Corgi's Balancing Act
Hazel, a 10-year-old Corgi, is quite the talented, well-balanced pooch. She’s become an online star with her surprising ability to balance just about any household object on her head, long enough for her owner, Bill Zildjian, to snap a photo and post it on her Tumblr page, “Things on Hazel’s Head.”
Zildjian discovered Hazel’s talent at balancing treats on her nose so he started trying different objects, from apples to a guitar, and would text the pictures to his daughter at college. “Being away at college, [she] missed her dog,” Zildjian, 55, of Castine, Maine, told GoodMorningAmerica.com. “You’ve heard the old cliché about boy and his dog? Well this is a girl and her dog. I’d shoot some pictures and send them to Georgia to let her know she’s still doing well.” The hardest thing Hazel has successfully balanced is a full glass of water, and her favorite reward for her good work is cheese.
