more Prince William and Kate Middleton, aka the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Grade: A- The bride was absolutely breathtaking this morning in her Alexander McQueen gown. Creative director Sarah Burton used hand-cut English lace and French Chantilly lace throughout the bodice and skirt, while the ivory and white satin gazar skirt was designed to emulate a flower. How lovely! We liked Kate's sweetheart bodice and the lace sleeves, and her ensemble looked both retro and modern at the same time, especially with her hair refreshingly worn down. It reminded us of Grace Kelly's wedding gown, only more wearable. The 1936 Cartier halo tiara was lent to her by Queen Elizabeth, but her diamond drop earrings were wedding present from her parents. William wore a Colonel of the Irish Guards uniform, which features a scarlet red jacket, blue sash from the Order of the Garter, and a forage cap. The Army's honorary Irish Guards position, which he earned in February, is his highest military title. William stood tall and proud in the bright color, but his best accessory was his glowing smile when he finally saw Kate at the altar. Martin Meissner/
