Super Bowl Halftime Shows Through the Years

Millions of fans will watch the Baltimore Ravens face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 3 for Super Bowl XLVII, but for many, the real show kicks off at halftime. Beyonce is headlining the halftime show this year at New Orleans’ Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and in the wake of her lip-syncing controversy at the inauguration, there’s even more hype around the performance than before. Beyonce adds her name to the list of stars who have scored the coveted slot through the years. From New Kids on the Block to Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, U2, and of course, Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake, see the performers who have taken the Super Bowl stage.
