We need a new rule that all these stupid commercials nobody cares about last only 15 seconds. I'm tired of cutting the sound and reading something else for 30 seconds each time - aren"t you?

i wish they had said something about the scale of the tornadoes.
    • boosted96EX 3 months ago
if you think how big the sun is, just from guestimating these plumes are probably 100's of thousands miles tall
    • Tim 3 months ago
Right--the sun is 800,000 miles in diameter. So just guessing from the scale, that tornado is maybe 50,000 miles tall, several earth diameters.
    • mud_2win 3 months ago
So, by those calculations, it must be spinning at about several million miles per hour.

I'm curious where the sound came from. I mean really, that eerie noise did not come from the vacuum of space.
    • Sniper 3 months ago
      Space is not entirely vacuum.
    • kyle 3 months ago
although space (for the most part) is a vaccuum. planets, stars, and moons that are actuive share one thing in common. radio waves. thus creating a sound of the "planet" if you will.

Be expecting more solar flare ups. We have been getting some great northern light displays here near Fairbanks. Geophysical is sending up rockets to get more data. Love science.

Why science? Most so called "science" is devoid of demonstrated fact anyway.Just a lot of hyper inflated opinions, like "global warming". Global Warming has been going on for the past 12000 years, but you would think that it is a new foundset of data. DUH!!!! "Science" is supposed to be "organized knowledge:" Yea, like Al Gore and his cap and trade #$%$ Give me a BREAK!

@ The Sword science is the set of test that prove knowledge and also gave you those fancy words you used.

Mother Nature is truly still in charge. This is an awesome video. I grew up in an era when things like this were not on TV--black and white at that. I hope the youngsters of today do not take things like this for granted.

Now if only the world's governments and leaders would collaborate and work for the betterment of the human race instead of creating wars.

Imagine if the brains of every nation were to be exploited not to create matters of destruction but matters of improving the lives of everybody.

There is so much we don't know. We are hurling through space on a tiny spec of dust called earth. Take all the wired natural phenomenon on earth such as tsunamis, earthquakes, weather patterns and multiply that by a trillion, and then again by another trillion. That will give you a perspective of what is still to be discovered in our reality outside of the earth and into deep space.
