"GMA" Tops NBC's "Today" by 846,000 Total Viewers and 150,000 Adults 25-54

"GMA" Increases by Double-Digits in the Key Adult News Demo Year-to-Year While "Today" Declines by Double-Digits

"GMA" Beats CBS "The Morning" Across All Target Demos By Triple-Digits and Outperforms CBS by Largest News Demo Margin in More Than 3 Months

ABC News' "Good Morning America" was the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (5.435 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.986 million) for the week of June 10, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" outdrew No. 2-ranked NBC's "Today" (4.589 million and 1.836 million, respectively) by +846,000 Total Viewers and by +150,000 Adults 25-54. Additionally, GMA.com on Yahoo! reached 24.4 million users in May 2013. It is the No. 1 morning news website and beats Today.com by millions of users each month.

"GMA" has ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers in all 37 weeks of the season. In fact, the ABC morning newscast has ranked No. 1 every week in Total Viewers for 10 months (the last 43 weeks - since w/o 8/13/12). Further, "GMA's" 43 consecutive weeks at the top stand as its longest stretch at No. 1 in more than 21 years - since before the 1991-92 season; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991.

Leading for the last 8 weeks in Adults 25-54, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 in 31 of 37 weeks this season, representing the program's highest number of No. 1 finishes in a season in the key adult news demo in 20 years - since the 1992-93 season

Building on its success, "GMA" posted double-digit increases on the year-ago week (4.806 million, 1.759 million and 1.319 million, respectively, on w/o 6/1/12) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+13%), Adults 25-54 (+12%) and Adults 18-49 (+4%), improving year to year in overall viewers in all 37 weeks this season. In contrast, "Today" (-5%/-10%/-7%) has not only seen losses year to year in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 in all 37 weeks of the season, it has turned in losses for the last 43 weeks, starting with the week following the 2012 Summer Olympics (since w/o 8/13/12).

Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning news program in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. It is leading "Today" by its largest season margin in overall viewers (+662,000) in more than 21 years and in the adult news demo (+82,000) in 20 years - since before the 1991-92 season and the 1992-93 season, respectively; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991.

Season to date, "GMA" is up in both Total Viewers (+8%) and Adults 25-54 (+3%) versus its year-ago averages, growing the most in the key adult news demo (NBC's "Today" is down -12%/-18%, respectively; CBS' "This Morning" is up +12%/+2%, respectively). "GMA" is seeing its largest overall season audience in 8 years and best Adult 25-54 performance in 5 years - since the 2004-05 and 2007-08 seasons, respectively.

For the week, "GMA" beat "CBS This Morning" by triple-digits across all target demos: Total Viewers (+100%), Adults 25-54 (+134%), and Adults 18-49 (+144%) . Further, "GMA" led the CBS program by its largest news demo margin (1.136 million) in more than 3 months (since w/o 2/25/13) and 2nd-largest overall this season.
