Everybody is talking about Beyonce’s halftime show and speculating if the ladies of her former group, Destiny’s Child, will reunite on stage for Super Bowl XLVII.But there’s another big halftime show in town that is definitely the cat’s meow.
Animal Planet is hosting its ninth annual Puppy Bowl and the halftime show features a group of performing kittens, who visited the “GMA LIVE!” studio this morning.
“We saw the puppies on the big show today, but these are the cheerleaders,” “GMA” anchor Josh Elliott joked.
The kittens, named Halston, Alex, Felix and Edwin, along with a few others, will star in the show and are available for adoption through Petfinder.
Puppy Bowl referee, Dan Schachner, said the Puppy Bowl has gotten to be even more popular than the lingerie bowl.
“We had like nine million viewers last year. We were the second-most tweeted event on Super Bowl Sunday,” Schachner added. “We’re really excited about this year. It’s bigger and better.”
“That’s power, America. Right there,” Sam Champion said.
