Dad Denies Calling Lohan an Escort (ABC News)

Lindsay Lohan is not a high-priced escort, according to her father, Michael Lohan.

Daddy Lohan defended his daughter to TMZ in response to a tabloid magazine story that quoted his allegedly saying the troubled actress was being paid to date rich men.

Star magazine quoted Michael Lohan as saying of his daughter, "She is getting paid to date rich men."

The magazine also quoted the elder Lohan as saying his ex-wife, Dina, "is pimping [Lindsay] out. It's disgusting."

Michael Lohan, 52, told TMZ, "By absolutely no means did I ever make such a statement, ever."

He told TMZ, "Sure, Lindsay and other celebs make personal appearances and get paid for it. Sure, she and they get paid to go to birthday parties and other occasions. But for sex? Are you kidding me? I would never say that because she would never do that and it never happened."

Lindsay Lohan is believed to have earned at least $100,000 recently for a personal appearance at a New Year's Eve party in London for Brunei's Haji Abdul Azim. He is third in line to the throne of the small, Southeast Asian nation.
