Pippa Middleton: World's Most Photographed Woman?

It may have been Wills and Kate's big day and the wedding of the century but the person who arguably stood out that day was her younger sister and bridesmaid Pippa Middleton, so much so that thanks to the British tabloids, she has earned the nickname "her Royal Hotness."
Pippa looked dazzling that day and and the spotlight has been shining on her ever since, quite literally. How literal are we talking about here? Try 400 pictures a day, 400 snaps of the younger Middleton going about her daily business.
The picture editor of Britain's Daily Mail newspaper says he sees up to 400 photographs cross his desk every single day. Giving evidence at the Lord Justice Leveson Inquiry which is investigating the ethics of the British media, Paul Silva said that Pippa typically has eight or nine photographers camped outside her door ready to snap her every move.
Silva however said that since the royal wedding the Daily Mail does not use the tsunami of pictures on offer by outside suppliers, as "there is no reason to photograph her when she is out and about doing her own thing," he said. "At the moment there are nine or 10 agencies outside her house [on any given day]. If she goes to get coffee, she goes back into her house, we get 300 to 400 pictures … There is no justification for using them." The newspaper does however use pictures of Pippa if she attends an event at which permission has been given for photographs to be taken.
The sheer scale of interest in Pippa does raise one question - could she take the mantle from Princess Diana of being the "most photographed woman" in the world? With Diana in the limelight far longer than Pippa has been thus far, it's safe to say that she still has a long way to go.
