Professional Online Dater Can't Wait to Move on to Next Girl

Online dating is the new normal for many singles hoping to find true love, but one online dating and relationship expert said it's turned him into a new type of ladies' man, a serial dater who simply can't be satisfied.
"It's very hard to date somebody and not think about the 20 other beautiful girls waiting in your mailbox," Huffington Post online dating and relationship expert Josh Pompey said on "Good Morning America."
Before online dating, Pompey was a self-described dating disaster, but since then Pompey now has women contacting him by the hundreds, regularly receiving dozens of winks and likes.
In his Huffington Post article "Has Online Dating Turned Me Into a Bad Person? Confessions of a Professional Online Dater," he's coming clean.
"The time when I appreciated women for both their perfections and imperfections is long gone. I am the definition of a serial dater. In a world of unlimited options, there is no longer room for imperfection," he wrote. He also described himself as a "god among men."
Josh says he's not a bad guy, that he's just being honest. He knows how to connect with women online, giving him more options than he can choose from, making it harder to find and want a relationship.
"Sometimes I wonder if there are too many options. I do enjoy - I'm not going to lie - meeting beautiful girl after beautiful girl," he said. "The newness can be somewhat of an addiction."
Dating expert Donna Barnes cautioned women to pay attention when men like Pompey tell you they're not looking for anything serious.
"He said he's telling women, 'I'm not looking for anything serious,' and they're ignoring that, and that happens all too often. He's telling you his truth, and you need to hear that," she said on "GMA." "Everybody tries to decide for other people what they're thinking and feeling. It's dangerous when you think, 'Oh, he likes me because he acts like he likes me.' Well, yeah - he's hot for you."
Pompey's attitude has turned off some women. One proclaimed on "GMA," "I don't agree with it. That's not something I would be dating."
Another agreed, saying, "This is the kind of guy I definitely want to avoid."
Barnes said it depends on the man if online dating can affect them this way. "I have an awful lot of male clients who say, 'Look, I don't want more than one person. I have enough to handle.' Yes, you absolutely can be monogamous. It's a choice."
Since writing the article, Pompey has been called everything from a narcissist to a psychopath online.
"[I'm] not perfect, but I'm going to live my life the way I want to live it," he said in response. "I'm not going live this life forever, but I'm looking, so ladies if you're out there…"
