Robin Roberts' Message: 'I Feel the Love and I Thank You for It'

The last time Robin Roberts was on "GMA" it was right before the show's co-anchor left to begin her medical treatment for MDS, a rare blood disorder.

The night before she entered the hospital, the "GMA" family helped lift her spirits.

Robin has been in the hospital for 11 days, but her "GMA" family has been close by to cheer her on and offer support.

Robin completed eight days of intense chemotherapy treatment in preparation of her bone marrow transplant scheduled for this morning.

Many transplant recipients refer to the day of their transplant as their new birthday.

So on her new birthday, Robin has a message for all of us:

"This journey is as much about the mind as it is the body," she said, in a video that aired on "GMA" today.

"Your thoughts. Thoughts are so powerful. You've got to change the way you think in order to change the way you feel. And let me just say this lastly, I feel the love and I thank you for it. Thank you."
