Stars Tweet on Election Night

Celebrities took to Twitter Tuesday night as the election results came in.

Lady Gaga tweeted a picture of her celebrating with friends, writing, "We just couldn't be happier my goodness, the joy when freedom prevails."

Beyonce directed a message to Mitt Romney's supporters. Minutes after President Obama was re-elected, she sent the Instagram: "Take that Mitches."

Earlier, Beyonce posted a picture from the ballot booth, along with a picture of her wearing a "Texans for Obama" T-shirt.

The singer also posted a personal note she'd written to the president: "You are the reason my daughter and nephew will grow up to be knowing that they can truly be ANYTHING they want to be," and signed it "All my respect and adoration."

"Star Trek" actor Zachary Quinto posted photos of himself working the phones from Obama's Chicago headquarters and later celebrating the president's re-election.

Alongside a photo of him waving a flag in the confetti-covered convention center, Quinto wrote, "The great work begins."

Eva Longoria was also celebrating the president's victory, though on a smaller scale, with a group of friends.

The former "Desperate Housewives" star, who served as Obama's campaign co-chair, tweeted, " Me and my friends celebrating! I'm on (sic) tears! Moving the country forward!!! Obama!!!"

Of course, not all the stars were happy with Tuesday's results.

Donald Trump was calling for a march on Washington after Obama's win.

"This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy!" he tweeted.

Ted Nugent, another Romney supporter, tweeted "Pimps whores & welfare brats & their soulless supporters hav a president to destroy America."

Country singer Sara Evans tweeted, "I am completely in shock right now! This SUCKS! Where is this country heading? We might as well prepare for a million trillion $ in debt!"
