Dug the T-Rex Dinosaur Is The Most Epic Lawn Art Ever

Dug the T-Rex was born in June 2011 when his owners Chris and Natira Matthews, of Redwood City, Calif., found him at a garden supply store. “My wife and I got into the discussion of ‘Who buys those?’ And the answer was simple. We do,” Matthews told ABCNews.com. Standing at a statuesque six-feet-tall, Dug the T-Rex quickly became somewhat of a prehistoric talk of the town, which prompted the couple to dress up the dino for Halloween. “We dressed him up like Barney. After that, the response we got was just crazy,” said Matthews. Since Dug’s Barney costume debut, the T-Rex has modeled homemade Easter costumes, Elvis outfits and is sporting a Niners’ jersey in support of his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers, for the Super Bowl. “Every time is an adventure. We try to keep things interesting,” said Matthews.
