Jesse James has a carefully cultivated bad-boy image. Resident bad boy Jesse James took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the protesters. • Republican Legislators Propose a Series of Bills That Would Criminalize Peaceful Protests

While most of the world is still buzzing with positive energy from the Women's Marches on Saturday, several Republican legislators have been working hard to potentially make future peaceful protests a punishable offense. According to The Intercept, several proposals have been introduced by Republican legislators over the past few weeks specifically targeting protests that block or obstruct traffic—including a North Dakota bill that would allow motorists to hit and kill protesters obstructing the highway "as long as [the] driver does so accidentally." Another bill in Minnesota would make obstructing a highway a "gross misdemeanor" punishable by a hefty fine of $3,000 and up to a year in jail,

    • Tennis pros: Don't hit ball kids 'cos your hopes and dreams will be dashed

Showing frustration on the court is pretty standard for tennis players, but it ended badly for 17-year-old Italian player Maria Vittoria Viviani. Viviani was disqualified from the junior girls tournament at the Australian Open after she hit a ball kid with a ball in frustration on Sunday. SEE ALSO: You're breaking my balls: Tennis pro smashes rival in the groin during match Viviani had just lost a point from an unforced error against her Chinese opponent Xin Yu Wang in the first set. Annoyed, she hit a ball away with her racquet toward the side of the court. That ball then hit a ball kid in the chest, but the force was minimal, according to Italian news outlet Il Sussadario . It's not clear how they judged that, but it is true that Viviani appears to tap the ball away rather than thwack it with critical force. Viviani can be seen trying to apologise quickly afterwards, but it was enough to send her packing from the court in tears. The match ended 6-2 to Wang. It's not the first time that a ball hitting someone else on the court has ended in a player being disqualified.  English player Tim Henman was given his marching orders during a doubles match at Wimbledon in 1995 when he hit a ball away following the loss of a point and hit a ball girl in the face. • Father and son accused of rape want ‘only law book that truly matters’ at their trial: The Bible

A father and son accused of raping a teenage girl over a three-year period and keeping her shackled in a basement have made it clear that they don’t have faith in the law or in the people who practice it. When they face an Ohio jury as they defend themselves against criminal charges that carry long prison sentences, they will rely on one book: The Bible. Timothy Ciboro and his son, Esten Ciboro, both of Toledo, are each charged with multiple counts of rape. The trial is scheduled to start this week, months after the girl, who is Timothy Ciboro’s stepdaughter, managed to unshackle herself and escape while her alleged abusers were gone, authorities said. During a hearing Friday, the Ciboros made

Tom Brady has had a hugely impressive and lengthy career as the quarterback of the New England Patriots. In his 16 years on the team, they’ve gone to the Super Bowl seven times, the most for any quarterback in history, and even more astoundingly, they’ve won four of those titles. He’s also won the title of Super Bowl MVP three times, and League MVP twice. But all of that is truly dwarfed in comparison to the massively impressive circumference of his outerwear on Sunday.

    • Sweet thank you card from ball girl to tennis pro Jo-Wilfried Tsonga goes viral

There isn't always room for niceties in the world of professional sport, but French tennis player Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has bucked the trend. You might remember him helping out a ball girl who was in tears after being struck by a ball at last year's Australian Open, stopping the match to accompany her off the court. SEE ALSO: Tennis pros: Don't hit ball kids 'cos your hopes and dreams will be dashed Here's a video of the moment to help jog your memory. Well, twelve months on, the ball girl — real name Giuliana — penned a thank you card to the Frenchman, which he shared on Facebook while back in Melbourne for the tennis tournament. "Dear Mr Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you for helping me out on court during your round 2 match of the Australian Open 2016," the letter reads. "I'm not sure if you remember me but I was the ball girl you escorted off court. I would also like to take this opportunity to apologise for all the times when you asked for the ball but I didn't service it to you or acknowledge you." The card revealed Giuliana had a virus on the day that also affected her hearing and vision, hence inhibiting her performance on the court. The expectations for these ball kids are understandably set quite high. "Thank you so much for the kindness you showed me. I really appreciate that you were able to see that I needed some help and were kind enough to escort me off court," Giuliana added. She signed off the card with her name and her ball kid number, #180. At the time, Tsonga told reporters that he "didn't do anything special" by helping her off the court, but he did thank Giuliana for her letter Sunday. What a guy, hey. • 12 bodies found in Mexican tourist town: officials

A dozen bodies -- including seven that were headless and mutilated -- were discovered over the weekend in western Mexico's seaside resort of Manzanillo, apparent victims of the country's epidemic of drug violence, local officials said. It was a shocking turn of events for an area popular with American and other foreign tourists, which until now had largely been spared from the bloody drug wars wracking other parts of Mexico. Seven bodies were found early Saturday in an abandoned taxi on the road from Manzanillo to the town of Cihuatlan.
