Lego Artwork on Display

An Australian photographer known for hyper-realistic images and an American artist who works only with Lego bricks have teamed up to create a “Where’s Waldo”-like art exhibit.  But instead of spotting a guy in a red and white striped hat, viewers have to figure out which piece of each of the photographs on display is made entirely out of Legos.  The exhibit, titled “IN PIECES” and opening Feb. 28 in New York City, is the brainchild of photographer Dean West and artist Nathan Sawaya.  The pair traveled throughout the U.S. together to photograph scenes and then Sawaya took a single element from each image to build from Legos.  Click through and try to guess for yourself which piece of the photograph is actually a life-size Lego sculpture.
