Making Out With Man’s Best Friend: Would You Smooch Your Dog?

Many consider their four-legged friends a part of the family, but one photographer captured canine love of an extreme breed. Chris Sembrot, of Philadelphia, took up-close-and-personal portraits of dog owners smooching their pooches in his latest project, “People Who Open-Mouth Kiss Their Dogs.” Inspired by his unconditional love and affection for his own dog, Sadie, Sembrot says, “Every dog owner that I am privileged to know shares the same unbounded love for their beast as I do. Sometimes that love is expressed in the form of sloppy kisses. … I am inspired to capture this kind of unbridled, sweet affection for Man's Best Friend. The images are intended to capture a personal, somewhat intimate moment between humans and their dogs.”
