Man Pops the Question with Disney-Pixar's 'Up'-Themed Proposal

One N.J. woman really got swept “Up” in the moment on June 8, when her boyfriend of two-and-a-half years, Joe Perri, popped the question in a proposal inspired by her favorite movie, Disney-Pixar’s “Up.” Perri brought in 100 balloons and recreated the entire “Up” living room at the Vail Mansion in Morristown, N.J., down to the movie’s signature, yellow upholstered chair, for the proposal. “The movie has some very emotional parts to it, so I was racking my brain about how I was going to propose to her,” Perri, 27, told GoodMorningAmerica.com. “I’m very detail oriented so I started working, trying to get all the pieces for it. I was walking around flea markets with the pictures from the movie.” Perri painted the mailbox from the front of the house, found a similar antique lamp and reupholstered an old chair with yellow fabric. But the hardest part was transporting 100 balloons to the location. Thankfully, his hard work paid off when his now fiancé, Laura Stagliano, 25, said “Yes.”
