François Brunelle's portraits show that maybe everyone really does have a twin. Look closely: The pairs of look-alikes are not actually related—they are strangers who happen to be the mirror image of another.
As described on the Canadian's website, "'I'm not a look-alike!' is a project to make 200 photos of couples of look-alikes (doubles, doppelgangers) around the world and to create an international exhibit and a book with them."
The project, which is over half-way complete, started with people the photographer knew. Since word has spread about the project, subjects have sought out the artist on his website and submitted photos of their look-alikes.
