Taylor Swift debuted the world premiere music video for her hitsong, “22,” today exclusively on “Good Morning America.”
“22” is the fourth single from her chart-topping album, “Red” which has soldover 5 million copies since its October 2012 release, and all of Swift’s singleshave reached No. 1.
For Swift, who has racked up 13 No. 1 singles so far in hercareer, releasing the video on March 13 is no coincidence, she said in a specialmessage to fans.
“Since 13 is my lucky number, today also seems like theperfect day to release my brand new video for a song called ’22,’” she said on “GMA.”“We shot this video last month in Malibu. I never had this much fun shooting avideo because my friends in the video are actually my real-life best friends.”
Swift also kicks off her highly-anticipated world tour todaywith sold-out shows in Omaha, Neb., and stops in 47 cities in 29 states.
“I can’t wait for you guys to see this show,” she said on “GMA.”“I can’t wait to see you on the road.”
The now 23-year-old singer was just named the RecordingIndustry of America’s top-selling Digital Singles Artist with 39.5 millionsingles to date. The singer/songwriter is also nominated for five Academy ofCountry Music Awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of theYear, and Album of the Year.
